HEYHEYHEYHEY!

What's that font you're using? You can't fool me, that is DEF a font :P
But it's a really AWESOME font, so I wanna know it xD
Also, good animation, a little "tween-y," maybe venture a little into frame by frame animation :D

Billy-Chops responds:

It's called something funny, I can't remember it off hand. Go to dafont.com Also I've done fbf just not here. On my Youtube or deviantart there's more stuff.

Mostly bizarre

I know you were going for the whole edge of "Hey! I'll bet a tampon would have a lot of funny things to say!" But overall there weren't a MASSIVE amount of jokes that were really related to this, it was just that a tampon was talking, and saying weird stuff.
Like, not funny because it's weird. Just weird.
I think you tried to give the tampon too many human characteristics (Going to college, marrying, even being "employed" was kinda odd in my opinion)... Perhaps if you had Gone more with the tampon's actual personality, having him reveal actual "confessions," rather than just say things like "Oh, yeah! I graduated! Because I'm a tampon, it's funny." You could have him go into some sorta development about how he's become clinically depressed from simply "being used and just all of a sudden being abandoned by the one person I know..." Or maybe some sorta medical/Emergency-Room type memory due too a bunch of blood rushing to his head... I dunno.
The marrying a pickle was probably the weirdest. Of all things, a pickle?

All in all, I did like the joke at the end, tying it back to "He's a tampon, so the SITUATION is funny." Instead of "He's a tampon, it's funny whenever he says something."
So, 4 :D

ClockworkPixel responds:

i see what your saying if it was called interview ith a tampon maybe you would of thought different but i was just going for a serreal toon that doesn't really make much sense i like to think my cartoons as being don't ask why or over think just enjoy but hay can't apeel to every one but i thank you for giving it an 8 and na 4 even thought you wasn't overly keane on it :)

Dragggggged on......

Definitely the very very ending was the funniest part.
That's all nice and well, but there was WAY too long of a set up with repetetive joking after another. Cut to the chase next time :D
Also, I'd say burhs up on animation a little. Have the guy turn his head to look at the spider. Change 'camera angle' occasionally, do close ups of characters (You do this once at the end, but that was only to hide the extra arms), etc.
I'll let you off easy, since the ending actually did make my smile.

just2pale responds:

I can just make a 1 sec joke for you. No setup just the punch line.

Was good ish =D

It was nice, a little lengthy for me to keep my interest, sorry : /
It seemed like you wanted it to be a very big scale production, but certain features prevented this.
1a) Quality: I know you probably worked outside of flash and had to export in a non-vector form, and you had to condense it from 22 minutes, but maybe you should try just uploading multiple parts, that way they can also be easily watched in shorter, less time-demanding pieces :)
1b) Art: The art was very much well done, actually. Not much to say here except on some occasions check characters' proportions/face. But quite good job overall.
Also, I personally don't like Anime. You'd be real good at more realistic figures, why limit yourself?
2) Drama: For some reason, I felt the movie could have been more 'capturing.' Perhaps that's partly due to the compressed quality, but I think it would also actually be BETTER if you were able to shorten the movie. Remember, just because something's long doesn't mean it's good, and a shorter movie with more condensed emotion is better than a longer movie with more spread out and sparse emotion.
Other than that, nice job :)

SpikeVallentine responds:

Yeah....peoples time and attention spans are fragile...22 minutes is too long. The longer it is, the better it should be.

I'm with you 1,000,000,000%. This could and should have been more capturing. I feel its due to the story, style, and execution. In general, everything.

"just because something's long doesn't mean it's good,"
I'm with you 1,000,000,000,000,000%

"shorter movie with more condensed emotion is better than a longer movie with more spread out and sparse emotion."
Exactly. Brevity.

Why is he naked?

Quadripeligics don't have to be naked :P
Animation was smooth, almost too smooth in some places, as in lacking energetic motions, mostly the characters kinda 'morphed' between various poses, rather than appearing to actually have momentum and inertia. Try squashing and stretching your movements a little more :)
Curly's voice is REALLY nasly and weird in his first line. In his second, he sounds completely normal. It's kinda weird.
For some reason, Wavy's pose when he says "Who wants to go to the beach," looks REALLY weird, probably because he doesn't actually put his arms behind the other characters, and he seems incredibly large compared to both of them.
Overall, it was good, but a little more effort/'omph' put into it would really make it nice, I suppose that would've happened if you had a little more time to work on it :P

fluffkomix responds:

yeah. all the stuff before they leave quincy on the beach alone was done over the course of two months, and the rest of that in one week.

Just because I killed a small child?!?!

Very interesting take on the kill everything genre, where the victims have literally no chance of fighting back. Also with dialogue, which was nice I guess.
For some reason, I don't actually find this cliched. I don't know why, though I should.
-1 Star for graphics, but you knew that was coming, eh? Although, +.4 stars for making the style work anyways. SO, technically 9.4/10 :D

ZILLIS responds:

Thanks for the score. It's hard to ride that fine line, poking fun at the cliche without actually being cliche. I think I can pull it off a couple more times. Maybe even better!

I'm with Triphophiptop

How you animated in fish eye astounds me. Tutorial maybe??? :D
Amazin' work, as always!

JohnnyUtah responds:

1. draw the head as you normally would

2. go into photoshop and *spherize* it

3. take it back into flash and inbetween the frames between those

see im really not that special. i just use the ol' ingenuity

You should be making loads of money animating.

WHY ARENT YOU MAKING LOADS OF MONEY?
But seriously, you're totally talented, and although it's a little kiddy for my taste, I would watch something like this over Muzzy any day.

TheBoogley responds:

I just animate for fun, I teach illustration and design for a living in Melbourne.

Premise for a Collab?

Unfortunately I was too late to finding the one big morphing orgasm to join in, but a two color screen printish collab thing, THAT I would be happy to be a part of :D

TheBoogley responds:

it's pretty complicated... I need some thinking music while I ponder this...

An exploitation of Mario Fan Base

While your animation was stunning as usual, and the voice acting wasn't half bad, there was very little humor, none of which actually referred to Mario. The movie would have actually played out the same way had it been the original characters or characters from Sonic. Why not, since sticking Mario on the name attracts 30 times the attention as a non-Mario movie!

Honestly, I would have given it a 7 for lack of humor, slight inaccuracies, and extreme condensation of the story originally, but the fact that the Mario references changed nothing whatsoever about the video, I marked you down another. :C

JonBro responds:

No offense, but I think you're missing a bit. Admittedly most of the script doesn't have much to do with Mario because a friend of mine wrote the script for a school project, but a few of the jokes do in fact have to do with Mario. For example, when Toad/Virgil explains the Tower of Babel to Mario, Mario makes grunting sounds far more often than he speaks, so Toad says, "Don't you start, too, or you'll end up here!" Another example is Toad's use of a tornado-whistle-thing to get to Hell, used exactly like the whistle in Super Mario Bros. 3 to get to the hellish World 8 where Bowser is. Then there's the bit with Yoshi/Geryon, and...

Well, that's it.

But you really can't say this exact same movie with all the exact same jokes can be done with Sonic or Crash Bandicoot or Mickey Mouse.

Yayyyyyyyyyy
