... uh...

>= Warning! Long and extensive review! <=
Was this actually 12 fps? Try at least 18... hopefully 20
First I'd like to say, there are definently some graphics that could have been fixed quite easily. For instance, if you're going to use lines for bullets, they should not be short lines moving forward, they should be long lines that extend from the gun's barrel to the point where they hit. Then the next frame should be a dashed line, and then they're gone.
I suggest making it faster paced with smoother animation. Also the "fast moving effect" with the paint brush scribbles was not only that fast, but didn't really look that good. The first time I saw it I thought he was being engulfed in something, but then I figured it out...
You also kinda need work with the music/sound better. Like when the slow music starts, you should have first given a pause in music with just slow mo sound effects or something, then kinda fade in the music.

nope... 24 fps ...

but... yeah. ur rite.

Kenny Died xD

Btw, sweet new review system Newgrounds!
Like the irony and the unexpected "plot twists" if you can call them that.
Also nice animation style.
Maybe a little more fast paced though? That's my only complaint ;)

Awesome!

And the secret clip made me feel happy on the inside, and it made me laugh xD
Also noticed how you put ALOT of easter eggs in it, and I like that in movies. It keeps them fun to watch over and over again : D

Well...

AHH! Detailed and extensive review alert! If you read this in more than one sitting, congrats.
I dunno... It just seemed like you could have put more work into it. Call me old fashioned, but I like flashes when they've been worked with so much you can actually see some of the artist's blood/sweat/tears on the loading screen (How can you be "old fashioned" when it comes to flash, a new and advanced program? I dunno either). Okay that's really not necessary (obviously >_>) but maybe more work on this flash couldn't be so tough?
On to the actual movie (considering you have gone through and remade some/ if not, all the graphics by now), I suggest you try to stray away from play buttons for text. Also don't try to use almost arbitrary looping music that doesn't seem to change with the tone of the movie. Also also if you haven't remade the graphics by now, I suggest you either thicken lines or don't use them at all. Use the paint brush instead. Finally.... The story could have been more directed at the fattest kid in the world, not "the biggest loser" (Pun DEFINENTLY intended). Perhaps you could have used over exaggeration by making the kid nearly the size of the universe itself, with non-spoken fat jokes (but instead occurences, like cars literally running out of gas trying to drive around him)...
Like I said before, put a bit more work into it. Put some pizzaz, give it chutzpah, make it roxors your boxors! Etc. etc. etc. etc........

Formalglory responds:

i mainly made this flash do to the frustraition of a certian person. the term "the worlds fattest kid" doesnt really direct to fat at all. i mean sure i could've called it the worlds biggest loser but fattest just sang to me. if i did make the worlds fattest kid video id show a fat person gagging on his own spit with food smuthered all over the walls and his parents starving to death do to no scraps or leftovers from the food he eats. i mainly made this for the humor not for the fatness, remember that.

Runs a little slow for me...

It looks like its running at the default 12 fps...
But as far as everything else goes, perhaps less blocky animation? The best animation was tweened me thinks (brushing teeth), and the others pretty much look a little off.
Also, the graphics seem as if they're all made with the line tool, and although this isn't to say the line tool is un-usable, the (possibly) default black line with fills doesn't exactly appeal to me...

Hooray! Rupee's done it again!

I think that your animations are frankly some of the best clock animations out there. Anyways... My favorite gag must have been the slice sound effects with the ingredients, but I also liked the kinda hard to catch grandmother strawberryclock. Keep it up!

RupeeClock responds:

Haha, thanks.

WAHOO! It's Dom Fera!

Seriously, if you guys liked this, check out his other movies, especially the laser collection(s). Wait... those aren't on newgrounds? Well, search youtube for them! Back to THIS movie, I really liked Santa's song. And everything else. 10 :D

An ironic message?

WARNING: For animation critisism, skip this line.
"Don't upload crap to the portal." Well, this definently isn't by far the crappiest it gets, but I'm sure that this couldn't have taken more than a few days or so to animate, if so. I mean, I usually only make movies for newgrounds if they're at least 2 minutes long, and usually take at the VERY least 3 weeks, minus the one time I made a movie in 4 days (Without doing much else besides going to school, sleeping, etc.... <_<) and that one I don't consider very good...

Okay, now things that relate specifically to the animation: You could make a few things smoother, perhaps add a few frames or so to the walking animation of the swf. Also, when the text appears at the end, I'd suggest to make it stop moving. It's readable, sure, but it's annoying and kinda lazy in my opinion. Another thing you can do is make something enter really fast, then move hardly at all, then exit quickly. Kinda like in movie trailers sometimes?

jaco208 responds:

Yeah I rushed on this...
I can never seem to finish anything, so i rushed a bit.

Response to lower review... also needs imporvement

He did parody the video game: In portal, there is a running gag about earning "cake, delicious cake," for completing the trials. And yet, there isn't really enough parody. I think that there should have been some stuff with portals definently, and how crazy things become, and the turrets.... Also, the person eating the robot (or was that a side view of a turret?) does not parody the game... so there

Well, you definently can't hate it! :D

It was nice, but I would have given 10/10 if it was a little bit more actiony (just a bit) and perhaps if you strayed away from the credits version of the music video....
But still me likey!

Yayyyyyyyyyy
